SUNDAY NITE AT THE MOVIES:
Sugarmakers made the most of the Big Thaw of February, and this past week COO and the Hutchins brothers (who grew up climbing on our wood pile, next worked crew for many years, and now sugar in Caledonia County) made the most of the Pi Day Snowstorm. Here is Ben Hutchins skiing Michigan Slides, an exposed ledge in nearby Michigan Valley.

Looks like the skier that made those tracks hit that big tree. 🙂
Lew’s video of Ben’s Pi day run was awesome- looks like a day in Steamboat. Jealous

To my lovely caption commenters, yes, yes, and yes. If you would like an explanation for the tracks, here it is: The parallel main lines – the wet-dry lines – on the right side of the photo (only the upper one shows) shaded the snow from the sun leaving parallel ridges of snow where the snow didn’t melt. I just enjoy gazing at the composition of this photo rather than analyzing it. AC
