“Is there any movement?” my neighbor asked this afternoon.

This major blowdown on the Keystone wet-dry lines caused the vacuum to plummet by 15 lbs.

“No,” I replied.
“Tomorrow there might be some,” she said.
“It’s a possibility. Then nothing the rest of the week.”

Weather: Back to winter, but to a user-friendly version, with temps just above or below freezing.

Snow: Magic Carpet (firm base plus two inches powder)

Here are the responses to last Sunday’s Climbing Rhyme challenge, reprinted from the Comment Box in the order they were received. Thank you, brave Climbing Rhymers.

MorningSide tree
Sheds debris as
Snow fleas tryst, climb—

Before time fades,
Sublime beams gain-
say chill grains. Late

Refrain heralds
Wintertide’s grip.

Snow deeper than the knee
Sap we must free
Each TREE in a line
Just one more CLIMB
Don’t miss one, its a crime
Its maple time, oh the strain
The tappers constant pain
one more ridge to attain
all for the Knoll’s sweet sweet GAIN

Lo maple tree
Bring sweet tea forth
Tis the season

Of which fun springs
And sun brings birth

Only worth while
Our hearth and sweat

Oh to fret time
Then let us drink

  1. Nothing to do with sugaring…..

    Cat lies down near
    his soft dear eyes.
    come here my love.
    think not of else.
    Belove my friend.
    we transcend now,
    heart mends at once.

  2. This one’s a stretch and breaks out of the climbing pattern on the last line:

    Tree. Vinyasa.
    For it’s the flow
    To a finish.

    Where a dish, it
    with fish, perhaps,
    will perfect
